Calliditas is a commercial stage biopharmaceutical company focused on identifying, developing and commercializing novel treatments in orphan indications, with an initial focus on renal and hepatic diseases with significant unmet medical needs.
Calliditas’ lead product, developed under the name Nefecon, has been granted accelerated approval by the FDA under the trade name TARPEYO® and conditional marketing authorization by the European Commission under the trade name KINPEYGO®.
TARPEYO and KINPEYGO® are the first and only treatments approved for IgA nephropathy by the FDA and EMA, respectively.
Calliditas also has a pipeline in orphan-focused indications. Calliditas is conducting a Phase 2b/3 clinical trial in primary biliary cholangitis and a Phase 2 proof-of-concept trial in head and neck cancer with its NOX inhibitor product candidate, setanaxib.

Position summary
The US Sales Administration Support will support our US Sales Team thorough various commercial projects and assignments. In this role, this individual will manage sales related operational and tactical tasks and project plans by working primarily with the Head of US Sales. Additionally, this individual will partner with other commercial leaders (i.e., Marketing) to support a range of organizational, planning, and administrative needs. Importantly this role will also be a contributing voice on the team, supporting our team culture and commitments as we grow.
The US Sales Administration Support will need to understand the roles and responsibilities across the US organization, and be able to independently and pro-actively, arrange and efficiently manage select processes and important activities to support the growth and enhancement of the US Sales Team functions.
The individual will work from the New York City office. Flexibility for remote work is provided in accordance with the current hybrid work model.
The salary range for this role is $75,000-$95,000
Key tasks and responsibilities
The US Sales Administration Support will provide project management, operational & administrative support enabling success of the Field Sales organization. This individual will successfully handle tasks and projects with minimal management initiation or review, identifying process improvements and solutions to management.
Activities in this role may include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor, plan and implement projects affecting the sales and marketing team
- Launching & supporting new and existing sales & marketing related programs
- Performing diverse, and often time-sensitive, administrative functions, projects, and tasks
- Aggregating, tracking & submitting sales related expenses, budgets, & invoices
- Partnering with HR team to coordinate sales roster management, sales interviews, sales related onboarding and offboarding processes (including IT Hardware/Software requests, coordination/distribution/shipment/return of materials, etc.)
- Ad-Hoc responsibilities as required
- Manage and support Sales & Marketing contracting process
- Lead sales team logistics (registration, contracting, payments) for local / regional sales related physician/patient conferences
- Coordinating with select vendors to assist in sales projects ensuring company business needs are being met. (i.e., fleet, meeting planning)
Education and experience requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 5 years administrative support experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry OR 2-3 years experience supporting the sales team in a pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Prior experience managing diverse sales related projects in the pharmaceutical or related field
- Ability to naturally partner, coordinate activities and advance project agenda with multiple teams, in all levels of an organization
- Prior experience with contracting, budgets, vendor management and supporting US pharmaceutical teams
- Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint required
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Travel up to 20%
